Star Chef now at Huntley's
Star chef, Simon Bower, joins award winning farm shop...
Huntley’s of Samlesbury have welcomed new Head Chef, Simon Bower, to their team. Simon is a Michelin-starred chef with more than 20 years’ experience, including seven years as joint head chef at the prestigious Northcote Manor. He has previously worked under Marco Pierre White, at his London restaurants, and last year opened Marco’s first North West based restaurant, The Swann Inn.
The son of a British Army Officer, Simon spent much of his childhood living abroad which allowed him to experience many different cultures but his passion for local traditions is still reflected in his cooking. Simon takes real pride in delivering excellent food at affordable prices and, as the new year approaches, Simon is already planning big changes at the farm shop with plans to open the restaurant in the early evenings with a ‘shop and dine’ theme to attract local families.
As well as running the 160 cover restaurant, Simon will be overseeing the impressive Food Hall preparing the deli produce and will soon be launching his new range of ready meals.
Recently, Huntley's have also been recognize for excellence in craft butchery/retail and arrived in the final 3 nationally, representing the crème de la crème of British retail at the famous Landmark hotel in London. Huntley’s are really excited about working with Simon in 2012, to be put firmly on the culinary map and maintain their award winning standards.
