 Love Organics?

This month, Slow Food Fife has teamed up with the famous

Pillars of Hercules Farm Shop and Café, and historic Falkland Estate, to put together a fantastic evening for foodies

with an interest in Organics.

This is your unique chance to meet:

'‘Visionary pioneers of the ethical food movement forging a new market for pure organic food and inspiring a new generation of farmers to forsake the chemical treadmill…’’!

Our special Organics event will take place on

Wednesday 25th May 2011

6.30 – 9.00pm

at

Pillars of Hercules Farm Shop and Café,

near Falkland, Fife, KY15 7AD

The evening will include a Farm Walk and Talk with Bruce Bennett from Pillars of Hercules. You can see how the farm operates and hear Bruce’s beliefs about organics, and how he became involved with the Pillars of Hercules Farm and Farm Shop.

There will also be an opportunity to meet, and hear from, Amelia Stevenson, the Falkland Estate Manager. Amelia will talk about why Falkland Estate converted to organic working, and about her experiences of raising her Belted Galloway beef herd and Berkshire pigs.

The evening also includes a glass of wine and a special

Slow Food Fife Organic meal (suitable for vegetarians) with

~ Welcome drink with hummus with crudités on arrival ~

~ Seasonal Farm Veg Quiche ~

- with famous Pillars of Hercules Green Salad,

and carrot, fennel and mustard coleslaw

~ Rhubarb andGingerCrumble with cream ~

~ Coffee or Tea ~
